- How much does an ecommerce website cost?
An online shop from Ubie is our Premium plan at £89 a month, plus a one-off £299 to add the shop. The monthly price includes design, hosting, a business email address, security, written content, updates and UK support. There is no other setup fee, and you own the website once the first 12 months are paid.
- What is included in the online shop?
Product pages with photos, options and stock levels, a basket, a secure checkout, delivery options and rates, tax settings and an orders dashboard. We set it all up and load your first products, then show you how to manage it.
- How do I take payments?
Through Stripe or PayPal, with payments going straight to your account. Apple Pay and Google Pay can be switched on. Stripe and PayPal charge their own small fee per transaction, which is separate from your monthly plan.
- Can I add products and process orders myself?
Yes. You get a simple dashboard where you can add products, change prices, update stock and process orders. We walk you through it when the shop launches, and if you would rather send us the changes, updates are included in your plan.
- How many products can I sell?
There is no fixed limit. Our shops range from a few dozen products to several hundred. If you have a very large catalogue or need something unusual, such as product configurators or wholesale pricing, tell us before you sign up and we will confirm what is possible.
- Can the shop handle delivery, collection and stock?
Yes. We set up delivery zones and rates, free delivery over a certain amount, and click and collect if you want it. Stock levels update as orders come in, so you do not oversell.
- How long does it take to build an online shop?
Most shops are live in under four weeks. The main thing that affects timing is how quickly we receive your product photos, descriptions and prices. You approve a preview before anything goes live.
- Do I own the shop, and what happens after 12 months?
Yes. Once the first 12 months are paid, the website is yours, and your plan carries on month to month at the same price with no new contract. If you leave after that, we move the website to you or your new provider.
